Once and yet again, more quirks are spotted in a seemingly boring island called singapore. In fact, I've lost count on the total number of pictures I've taken so far. Anyway, check out the following:
More Than Just A Ride
Well, as the title suggests, this is more than just a ride. And nope, I'm not advertising for them although in the act of bringing out a quirk I might have unwittingly advertised for them. If you're wondering why it is unwitting, you see... I should be paid for helping them advertise regardless of the number of blog readers that might possibly exist after a long period of stagnation. OK, better get back to the point before this leads nowhere again. Anyway, let's see... yup, yup. This is definitely more than just a ride. Hmmm... instead of taking a ride home straight from town, we still have to travel within or between HDB towns = More travelling distance than intended = more than just a ride. So, it must be equivalent to two rides or more. What a service. Reminds me of that snapshot of a s****d bus service, hee =)
No Entry To Who?
I'm wondering... Is it no entry to me (since I'm not a staff) or is to entry to
them only? Hehehe... what if I entered based on that argument? Lalala... =)
No Dumping. Yup.
It was an interesting afternoon when I was jogging as a double cookie within my estate and somehow, I came across this interesting sign at the carpark. Well, from what I know, this sign has been present for quite a loooong time (at least a few years I think). So what's so interesting about it? You see, the sign contains pictures of a sofa (and if you noticed, just beside it is a sofa). And that's not all... check out the following:
A Food What?
Well, it was a sunday morning and so my family came to this erm... food court... to eat. Well, like all other food courts, this one has various stalls, tables, chairs, tiles... ermmm... oh, and walls, and lightings and... hmmm... aha! Yup yup... and a dustbin. Hmmm, is something missing?
Danger Zone
Check this out! These bulbs are rated as sigh voltage. Hmmm, the last time I saw such a sign was at some district transformer at which the voltage was at a few thousand volts. So, based on the following, it could mean a few things:
1) The shopping mall is trying to smoke the public that the light bulbs are of extreme, superior quality such that they could withstand such a high voltage (note: the last time I saw the voltage rating of one such light bulb, it was at 3V. Well, unless they were dumb enough to place all these bulbs serially and risk all of them shutting off with just a faulty bulb... OK, better not get into some electronics topic here)
2) These set of light bulbs are indeed high voltage, because some live hot wires at a few thousand volts are actually running around these bulbs and hence pose a danger to passer bys. Perhaps the mall was too poor to pay for any more cement to conceal such wires?
3) The set of light bulbs are high voltage because, well, a voltage is running through the wires and they reside on the third story of the shopping mall and are hence high. As for the danger part... perhaps when they fall from their height, it may cause someone to trip or be entangled?
Conclusion: Though out-of-point/wrong it may sound, I think my camera phone was a good investment even though it depreciates in value over time =)
